I loved this story. I enjoyed reading about Jewish culture and familiar places in Melbourne. Naomi annoyed me at times, but I think because it was like real life, ups and downs, bad decisions, life doesn't have a perfect beginning, middle and happy ending.

As someone who generally enjoys the misguided, lost and struggling girl in her 20’s book, I really struggled with this one.

Whilst the location and settings were familiar, I found it challenging to form a connection with the protagonist and felt this book lacked substance, gently repeating over and over with no resolution.

While I’m a fan of a not so happy ending, I just felt no arc or character development, which made the story feel quite flat throughout, which is a shame, because I feel like it could’ve been a great story.

Unfortunately missed the mark for me.

This book was sad but real. Not very memorable but a good read.
