I think the author was going for emotional and a little heart breaking but it came across as a little too dramatic and cheesy. The dialogue was also really clunky.

thank you valentine PR for the ARC!!!
this is the last book in the rose canyon series, we finally get holden's story. i had a really fun time reading this!! holden is so patient and kind with sophie and everything she's been through, i want him in my life!! i will say i didn't buy their relationship for some reason? i'm not sure if i was thrown off by the time jump mid story so i felt like by three months their relationship should have grown?? especially living together and having a child... i dunno. pacing felt off a bit and the suspense was interesting but for this to be the last one i wanted a little more! i did enjoy seeing everyone again for one last time

Okay first of all, I don't know what I was thinking when I said I wasn't sure how this book would have the suspense element because duh, the whole larger case/situation wasn't solved yet. And boy oh boy was there suspense and action in this one (in the romantic suspense style, don't get too excited if suspense is your main genre). I really liked the Sophie & Eden showing up in Holden's life storyline and wish their little family didn't have to go through as much as they did. I still enjoyed reading it, though, and now I want to go back even further and read the series about the security team that was involved in this trilogy.

Keep this Promise is the third and final book in the Rose Canyon series by Corinne Michaels, featuring Holden and Sophie’s story. What a way to tie up a series!! My mind is still racing as I try to figure out what clues I missed, and why I didn’t figure out who the main villain was before their identity was revealed!!
