This was an okay celebrity romance. I recently found that I love romance / fiction that has to do with acting and film, and one of the reasons is to see if the author did their research about what happens on a film set. Jasmine Guillory did an okay job, which I was glad to see. However, this story didn’t really get me connected to either of the characters and I kinda just wanted to get it over with the more it went on. I think this is a good beach read / vacation read, but it wasn’t as good as I thought it was going to be

“Plus he was the only black person that presented all day. The other two firms both had someone sitting there, but it seemed like their weren’t allowed to speak.”

Everything that I've come to expect from a Guillory novel, which is definitely a good thing. The story is entertaining yet fairly straightforward with winning, multifaceted protagonists. I especially liked how a secondary character who I thought was being painted as a villain providing an annoying obstacle ended up being instrumental in how everything played out. It was a real treat to have a couple of pairings from previous books pop up. And that escape with the massive suitcase was very amusing; I wonder if anyone famous has done that in real life!

This was such a fun book to read! Ben & Anna were adorable and had great chemistry together. I love fake dating stories, and this was great. This was sexy & fun, and I loved reading it!

Guillory’s other books were cute and steamy, but this one felt artificial, even when it wasn’t supposed to be.
