This is an essential and comprehensive guide from the team behind the website Everplans, on how to make arrangements for the eventuality of your death (especially if unexpected), to make everything easier for your friends and family. Even if you don't have substantial assets, there are probably still items you'd like people to have, preferences you'd have for your funeral, and a whole array of digital accounts and services locked away behind passwords that people will need to access if only to close them down. Despite the subject, the book is easy-to-read and not maudlin, and gives step-by-step advice, and checklists, broken down by topic.

I received an eARC courtesy of Workman Publishing Company via NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.

I am all for the content. It was broken down and simplified. I feel like it covered more than what many people need, but since everyone needs different information this all-encompassing style is useful.

Now I need to say something with regards to the format of this book. What is with the two-column newspaper style? Yikes. I, personally, did not care for this at all. It was probably the main reason why this book has taken me so long to get through.

For Libraries: With any luck some of the formatting issues and typos will be fixed prior to final publication, but I strongly recommend scanning through prior to purchase just in case. Otherwise, the content is wonderful and useful.

A very handy book to have to get your affairs in order. Would recommend the hard copy vs the ebook, just so you can reference parts easier.

This book is essential. I borrowed a copy from my library but I’m going to purchase my own copy to keep on hand.

I received an ARC of this book through Edelweiss, and it's an easy-to-follow but comprehensive guide to end-of-life planning. The authors also own a business pertaining to end-of-life planning, but the nice thing is that this isn't a book strictly advertising their business (in fact, the business isn't mentioned that often at all). Every person can get something helpful out of this text, regardless of your family or financial situation, and while nobody wants to consider THE END, everyone will remember you even more fondly if you plan in advance how to distribute any and all assets (and passwords!).
