Too rapey and despicable for Beauty & the Beast. Not a good interpretation at all.

I can say this was a little less than middle of the road for me, because there were some things i did enjoy however there were several aspects that were not for me.
I did finish it which means it wasnt too boring for me to stop, and the writing only had a few things wrong that made me notice it. The spicy scenes were brief and kind of to the point as most of this book rides on you liking the protective "touch her and youll die" kind of guy. Which ive seen done better than this book.
The constant violation of our main characters consent because "she wanted it but didnt want to say it" or her body was reacting to stimulating touch was a huge issue for me as well as the ending felt really rushed and shallow. It felt like the writer spent 90% talking about the characters with a vague threat and then the last 50 pages introducing a mystery, and then solving the mystery and main conflict, and then happy ever after.
