I got a copy of this horror anthology as an ARC from Eerie River Publilishing, and I’m SO glad I did! As a fan of horror, I was hopeful that a book about monsters would be up my alley. I loved the different array of monsters (Djinn, werepeople, witches, banshees, aliens, ghouls, evil dolls, vampires, mummies, wendigos, faeries, and giants!), and there weren’t any stories that I didn't like.

One of the things  that I thought was the most interesting about these stories is that in a lot of them, it wasn’t clear who, exactly, was the monster. For instance, in “The Old Oak Tree”, it’s not clear if the monster is the tree, the faeries, or humans. Loved that aspect of this book.

The stories in this book not only span multiple monsters, but also different settings and time periods as well. I’m sure any horror lover will find something they’ll like in this book!

If I had to choose a favorite out of the 24 stories in this collection, I would choose “Foster Doll”—“evil” doll, evil foster mom, an ambiguous ending that was really well done…I loved it!

Would highly recommend for anyone interested in horror, monsters, etc.!
