استمتعت بالرواية لكن بالنهاية اكو ثغرة بالاحداث يعني الكاتبة لم توضح كل شيء وحتى بالنسبة لنهاية بعض الشخصيات كانت النهاية مختصرة وموجزة

A huge waste of time. The story simply does not make any sense at all, and the plot have unjustifiable leaps from one situation to another. No amount of introspection or psychological research of the characters. About the main character, Lumikki, we only know she is a less harassed and youngest version of Lisbeth Salander. At eighteen she decides she wants to save Finland and become a super heroine while having to do with classmates that she can not even stand (also, she can not even fit in school because it is not interested in doing so). Why? It's not about for us to know. I would justify such a fetched fetched only if the author was autoproduced, but in Italy the story is published by Mondadori, a publishing major, while other books that deserve much more space do not have the right space. I am very disappointed, even because there are some parts, sometimes, that are so beautiful you can easily understand how much good would the author be and how little she has invested in her novel.

3.5/ This was suprisingly good. I went totally blind thinking about casually reading it and the next thing you know I am hooked. This book is sooo fricking addictive. A really good crime thriller (I don't read a lot of those and I'm always on the hunt for the perfect one) that keeps you at the edge of your seat. The characters are interesting and complex and despite it being such a sort first book we manage to go deep and explore them. Also, the beautiful Finish setting. The ice cold, the winter, the snow.It blended perfectly.I couldn't imagine of a more horrifying image than thick red blood on fresh snow. MOVING ON TO BOOK TWO IMMEDIATELY.

As Red As Blood by Salla Simukka follows Lumikki Andersson - a girl who has moved away from home to go to a new school and finds herself involved in trouble after find blood stained money in her school's darkroom.

This book was a pain to read and was a carbon copy of any other "I'm not like other girls" book. She has no personality, constantly talks about how ugly she is, wears combat boots (and constantly mentions it), and judges other girls for caring about appearances. I get this was published in 2013, but come on! The side characters had no character to them either, and the plot was ridiculous.

I'm still stuck on the main character. She's suppose to be this bad ass with ninja skills but there no clear backstory on how she got these skills or what happened to her. Am I suppose to buy the idea that she gained these skills because she was bullied as a kid? Because that's a bit much.

The other thing that felt of was the writing. This book was originally written in Finnish (I think), and I don't know if the writing is genuinely bad, or if the translator did a terrible job translating this book. The writing and dialogue were just off.

Olihan se ainakin uskottava kuvaus taidelukiolaisista. Ihan ok. Liian realistinen mun makuun, enkä tykännyt hassuista ajatusasioista (hokemat päässä karkuunjuostessa yms) ja pätemisestä, mutta nuorten kirjaksi oikein oivallinen.

I rarely have read so badly written books (Ok I listened this one). Not really recommending it to anyone. Shallow snow white references, so shallow that it feels like it's just because the name of the character is snow white in finnish.

This book was gripping from start to finish, however it is also quite confusing.

I really liked the characters of Lumikki and Elisa but the boy characters bored me. Elisa's father annoyed me and I just didn't like the characters of the men who worked for "polar bear". I liked the mystery of the book but some parts of it were just confusing, for example sometimes it was hard to figure out who was narrating due to the different characters narrating the different chapters. It was also quite confusing as at some parts random topics seemed to come up that didn't seem to fit in with the rest of the story, for example when Lumikki starts talking about her summer romance.

Although there were quite a few elements of the book I didn't like, I quite liked the plot and some of the characters and always looked forward to reading it.

I just finished this book and I have to say it was a great one. The suspense this built through the story was amazing, the backstory of the characters wasn't revealed until the end. I enjoyed this book, I guess you could say it was simple, because there weren't many main characters. One thing I didn't exactly like about the book was the ending - it didn't leave me wanting more, which is a bit sad. That is why I'm giving it a four out of five. However, I liked the fact that the main character isn't straight and is a lesbian. I wasn't expecting that from a book like this, but was pleasantly surprised.
