3.5 ⭐️ This was a super cute (conservative, no open door) winter rom-com! I loved the secondhand bookstore as the secondary setting. There were quite a few characters and many different sub plots, but I thought they were juggled decently and I didn’t have trouble following along.

A Hallmark movie Christmas book. Perfectly cozy if predictable.

Waaaay too long. Also it was really off-putting how Nory relentlessly defended her asshole, privileged friends because they were also bullied? Idk. The set up was interesting but this book just wasn’t it.

I generally enjoyed this book that chronicles all the drama of high school friends getting together for a wedding. There were quite a few secondary characters and I thought Bayliss did a good job of describing them. But I was disappointed in Nory's actions that led to the Dark Moment - I thought they were out of character. And it sounds like a Christmas book but contained very little pertaining to the holiday.

Cute but corny. I only read this because of my book club.

Late to this one but here we are!

I felt like this was more of a drama than a romance novel. There were a lot of heavy topics in this book; and as someone who loves Christmas and the holidays, I would have loved to have more of that incorporated given the book title. The storylines were relatable-ish, but Nory's wealthy friends sucked, and I think there was too much time given to them. I love British novels, so while I didn't *hate* this title, it was just okay. Thank you Netgalley for the advanced copy!

So boring. I would not have finished this if it weren’t for book club. Very glad to be done
