I couldn't stand any of the charecters or the attempted relationships.

I got so much more than what I was expecting from this book. The world building is interesting and unique, and I feel like it could easily be expanded with more books in this universe. The romance is absolutely adorable, and
I really appreciated how well the fade to black scene was written, although the SEXUAL TENSION these two characters have had me craving for more.
I was not expecting to enjoy it as much as I did, but I really couldn’t put it down! I had a hard time envisioning the non-human creatures because I feel like other than the trollis, the descriptions weren’t extensive enough. I also had a hard time envisioning the city itself, so I was especially grateful for the lovely drawing at the beginning of the book. One other thing is I wish there was a bit more warning for a few of Lark’s backstory elements. It’s minor but I had to take a step back a few times.
HIGHLY recommend if you’re into monster loving ;)
