I have never felt such a sense of dread in a book. Neiderman just knows how to get in my head. This book was beautifully written in the sense that it unconsciously made you part of the game

I was on the last page and I was still antsy!

A creepy tale of why to not take the back roads. It was a little predictable, and sometimes over the top, but it kept me intrigued. I really enjoyed the policeman and husband’s quest for the missing family. The male characters were all very nicely developed and entertaining, however the female characters were disappointingly weak.
