Listed among comics that would be a good fit for fans of Veronica Mars, and it bears that accolade well. Contemporary, fun, colorful, and flavored with the right amounts of angst and wit.

I know a lot of people didn't like this one much bu I liked it. I would have read this in one sitting but I had other things to do so it took me longer than I wanted to finish this one.

This is possibly the worst comic book I have ever read. The story is utterly simplistic and the ending is rushed and idiotic. The characterization of everyone is shallow and unrealistic, to begin with Barbara herself who shows the mental maturity of a dumb teenager. What a disappointment.

The more & more I read these “52” titles the more I realise why DC did another reboot after 3 years. Gail Simone’s run on this title was solid work, but this volume was just trite garbage. I’m not even sure who this was meant for to read? I miss Oracle. Barbara was so much more effective as Oracle than she ever was as Batgirl. Am appreciative this is the last volume I have of Batgirl & will move onto another title.

The story was just meh. Felt like a dumbed down version of Babs. Only gets 3 starts because the artwork is phenomenal.

I had been wondering if this new Batgirl could live up to all the hype. It certainly does. It's weird that I've met the creators before I even had the chance to see the work. There's clever pacing in the panels clearly showing Babs visiting people in different work environments and you know exactly what's going on without any confusion. The lettering is fresh and helpful showing a lot of narrative captions in a new way to give readers a look at the text messages. The bodies aren't grossly skeletal and badly proportioned like some comics. The coloring has a shift during a fight sequence in the first chapter but overall it keeps the mood lighter and far from the Nolan Batverse grit.
