Clean and sweet retelling

Loved it. Very cute, and I loved reading from the different perspectives. The characters for great, relatable, and fun. It was a great story to read and I would reccend if you are looking for a clean and sweet romance.

I stayed up way too late reading this book, but I enjoyed it. I didn't really enjoy the antagonism between the main characters at the beginning and found the book much more enjoyable once that lessened. One thing I really liked about this book was the art element. I looked up a painting mentioned in the book and fell in love with it. And I loved the integral part the children played in the book.

I am happy to see that there will be two more books in the series. This is a "world" I look forward to revisiting.

The female character's pride verged into "seriously she needs therapy" territory. It took away from fully enjoying the story.

I love pride and prejudice so naturally I have read my fair share of the re-tellings and I had gotten tired of the exact same story which is why this book sat on my to read shelf for as long as it did..but when I finally started I couldnt put it down! The characters are absolutely adorable and I can relate to Emma's character completely...Emma and Kevin's relationship is not insta-love or overwhelming-ly physical which I love and ofcourse the girls are cherry on the cake! Overall a light adorable must read !

The title caught my eye because of it's Jane Austen play on words. However, it was not like Austen's books. Not even a nod to the character names. I was initially disappointed in a way, but it was not distracting and the book took shape on it's own and I soon forgot all about that. I liked the different points of view and could tell the difference between them. It was clean, cute and a quick read. I found out there are two more books that follow other characters from the story and I am excited to read them when they are published next year.

When Emma Mackie moves to a new neighborhood with her two nieces and meets Kevin Grantham, her next door neighbor, she feels they are worlds apart. He keeps doing things for her and makes her feel like a charity case. Kevin thus sees Emma as disorganized and irresponsible. In this regard, Kevin is the Prejudice while Emma is the Pride.

This book is an easy read. I felt as if I were watching a movie throughout the reading experience. This book shocked me, made me giggle, and I even teared up a little bit toward the end.

The characters are consistent and feel very real. As a reader, I felt like I was experiencing the story alongside them. The metaphor of adding sugar to life's lemonade was consistent throughout.

There were very few grammatical errors.

This book was not what I expected at all. I guess you could say I was a bit prejudiced in my notions about this book - I'm skeptical of books and movies that come across as what I like to call "Hallmark-y." But this story, while a romance, is just the right about of cheesy while still believable.

I recommend this book to anyone who wants to read about life, love, and finding the sugar when life gives you lemons.

Cute audible and take on my favorite classic book: Pride and Prejudice.

Prejudice Meets Pride is the first book for the Meet Your Match series. In it, you will meet Emma and Kevin. Now these two were a bit of a struggle for me. I would like them one moment and then just despise them the next. It was so push and pull that it annoyed me. Plus, it didn't help when they acted like kids everyone now and then - instead of the adults they are.

The romance was okay for me. Not my favorite but I also didn't hate it either. Again, just okay. No wow factors or having me want to dive into the next book of this series. Nope, it kind of makes me want to dive into the actual book of Pride and Prejudice because now I'm missing Jane Austen.

Overall, it was an okay book that I guess I'm glad that I dove into.

"You don’t have to be strong all of the time, and it doesn’t make you less of a person to need help once in a while. Give and take is what life is all about, and sometimes you have to be the one to take so the other person can give."

Prejudice meets Pride is a fun, fast and deliciously swoony read. This book caught my attention because of the title and I've been meaning to read a Rachael Anderson book for awhile now. I've heard good things about the author and after reading this novel, I think she deserves all the praise!

Though the pacing is a little fast for me, the characters are well developed. In 2 or 3 chapters, you get to know the characters very well and i don't know how Anderson does that but it's incredible. Emma is hilarious! A realistic image for a lot of women out there. She's stubborn, witty and caring. While Kevin on the other hand is the opposite. Totally smooth, a little impatient and serious. This two is surely going to crash and man, when they did, it's one crazy adventure towards.. love? I love how the author didn’t rush anything and that there’s a point from all the craziness the characters are going through. There’s a lot of touching moments here, a lot of self discovery and a lot of pride. Emma and Kevin will find themselves asking what’s really important in their life right now and they also found the courage and braveness that they need in different aspects of their life.

Pick up Prejudice meets Pride today for a feel-good read, you will definitely not regret it. And Rachael Anderson gained a fan in me.
