If puppy play with some incest isn’t your thing then this isn’t for you but if your looking for something a little sweet and different with a cute puppy ( human ) and his master and hot kinky sex this is definitely one to try. I loved it from start to finish.

For a taboo read, this was so sweet and just a fluff fest.

My only problem was how Owen kept talking about people judging him for working in a fast food restaurant, and how he got hurt by it in the same breath he spoke about how he liked his job and talking to people, before going ahead and complaining after every shift about customers and their damn kids

For a taboo subject the book is well written. There was a decent plot and a lot of info on puppy play. These two brothers start to explore and fall in love. Yes it’s incest and that’s why it’s taboo. If you’re interested in either taboo subjects this book will tickle your fancy.

3.5 stars.

Loved the sexual tension, the taboo, and the puppy play. I grew a little bit bored once the tension faded away and left a strictly-feel-good story behind.

Owen helps his brother, Adrien, with a school paper about alternative sexual lifestyles. The "research" brings them closer than ever and they fall in love with each other. One has the role of Master, the other is the Puppy. Kinky taboo things happen.

No rating because I don't feel in the position of truly appreciating it since I DNFed every incest book I've read so far. But hey, I finished this one. That must count for something, right?
If I'd rate it, it would probably be between a 3 and a 4.

Thanks to Jan for the rec! I had fun :*

This book is not for everyone. It just isn’t. But that’s okay. That’s why goodreads has info on a gazillion other books if you are not okay with this.

For those who do not mind seriously delicious and high levels of kink, then please proceed.

What made this book so good was that it combined elements of a slow burn, exploration, first time, and second chance all into this wickedly sinful series of moments between the MC’s. And when they do strick the proverbial match, it ignites so bright.

They clearly have chemistry together because this took many of my favorite aspects of Innes’ books - the sweetness between characters, the build-up, the chemistry between the two, and the very spicy intimate scenes - and supercharged them with the dark grit that Phoenix is, apparently, so good at.

I wish I had recorded the first time I read this book. My guess is maybe when it came out several months ago? It is one that I have reread when I have been looking for something sweet. Because, to me, this is a sweet love story. Just a very atypical one.

Available on KU.

Happy reading!
