I'm a total sucker for books like this. I loved it and the way it made me feel. Low angst, swoon-worthy hero and a strong heroine even though she was 17. This author duo's books keep sucking me in.

I liked this book more than I thought I would. I've read a couple books that have dealt with celebrities dating "normals", and I think this one was executed quite well. We have a Rockstar edgy version of Justin Bieber (in comparison to their very early success and the millions of girls obsessing over them) Oakley Ford. Son of two multi-million dollar movie stars.
We also have 18 year old Vaughn Bennett who lives with her siblings, and is helping her older sister Paisley raise their two younger brothers after their parents are killed in a car accident. So, without a doubt two completely different characters. As time goes on they start to realize how much they actually do have in common. Oakley was a bit of a narcissist in the beginning, but what do you expect from a ridiculously successful teenager with two of the richest celebrities as parents. His life was lightyears worth of different from Vaughn. Sadly, all the money in the world can't make someone happy inside, and Vaughn helps him find just that. After writers block, and a complete slump in his music, she has the ability to become his muse; seeing past his clouded brain. Their relationship may have started off as a contract that was to help Oakley's image; make him seem wholesome and together by being with a "good girl", but real feelings become mixed in this seemingly fake affair.

And, yeah. LOVING me some Oakley Ford. Yum.

I loved this book. We follow our main character as she pretends to be a fack girlfriend to this famous rock star. She first does it for the money because her parents died a few year ago and left them in det, so her and her sister have to figure out how to make it work and then this thing with the rock star pops up and she takes it. Then she starts to fall for him for real and things start to unravel from there, i wish there was another book to this because i want to know more about the characters and what happens to them after the first few month of them dating for real...

Really just sucked me in and a lot of heart-throb moments, I will definitely be reading everything Erin Watt comes out with.

This was my first Erin Watt book. This book was recommended to me as I do enjoy the whole “rockstar romance”. However I found this a bit too PG for me personally. It’s definitely a young adult book and can be read by teenagers for those parents who were asking.

Now to the story. I loved the story. Oakley was a dream male role and I enjoyed how realistic he was eg. he still acted spoilt - there was no air brushing on his personality. It was good to read about his growth in finding himself with help from his person. Because let’s be honest, Vaughn was his person from the first meeting.
Vaughn did irritate me at times but I also had to remind myself she is only 17.

3.5 stars.
Only because the writing irritated me and I found myself jumping ahead paragraphs I didn’t think were necessary for the story development.

Easy, fluffy, and fun. What more could you ask for? The only "conflict" came at the tail-end, and it was resolved in moments. Oakley Ford is Justin Bieber, and and Vaughn Bennett is the normal fangirl we all wish we were. What a life!
