As usual, I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I find myself always liking the books written by Penelope and Vi. I absolutely loved charlotte’s personality and her kind heart. And she has the ability to stand up for herself and not let anyone think down on her. Reed was very sweet but had insecurities and I loved them together. You could see the chemistry when they were just in a room together.

I would say this is a slow burn and I found myself waiting and wanting for a lot of the book for something to happen because of the built up tension and chemistry. The only thing I don’t like about books that do this is that it doesn’t happen for a while therefore I feel I don’t get enough of the couple actually together together and that is what I like. I would say I prefer books where the couple get together and then some drama happens that causes them to split or have troubles.

Overall I really enjoyed the book!

Some good portions in this book, scenes that were very well done - the kind where you can see the story threads tied together beautifully, and some where you sank into the story and enjoyed Reed and Charlotte.

But for the most part, the lack of subtlety bothered me. Everything was spelled out, and came together neatly, in a way it would never be in reality. That was another thing - the succesion of events was hard to believe, though a bow of "fate" was put on the whole package. I didn't get a real feel on the characters, with hobbies and quirks scattered throughout in a way that stood out as plot driving points at times.

On the plus side, despite some heavy subject matters, it was a light and easy read for the most part, so a pleasant summer read (though I would not recommend it if you were looking for a realistic take on the issues).

What a great slow burn work place romance. This book took some turns I didn't expect AT ALL and I am so freaking glad. I absolutely loved Charlotte and Reeds dynamic. Their banter was fantastic. Such a sweet and enjoyable read.

As usually vi keelands books are amazing. The story line was perfect and sad all in one but no less beautiful. I loved the characters and despite how little their development was it was still good.

These ladies just never disappoint, I have loved everything they have done together, their writing just captures you completely.

Absolutely adored Charlotte and Reed and loved that we get to hear from both characters throughout the story.

A sweet and sexy story with amazing characters. Definitely worth reading and rereading!
