I received a ARC copy for a book tour in exchange for an honest review
Holy Cow..... is what come to my mind if I had to make a statement about Straight from the Heart
This book I a sweet love story with twist and turns everywhere you go, you can't predict what will happen next.
Bryn Schaefler aka B is trapped, her live ahead of her will consist of being the trophy wife, the perfect hostess this is not what see in her future she has a passion for music and is a pretty good guitar player. B decides to follow her dream, stands up to her parents and walk out of a future that will be extremely predictable.
"I had a feeling I was going to be in for a life changing experience whether I liked it or not"
B auditions for Everlasting and get the part (sorry for the spoiler) The love interest I Cale Pelton the lead singer with mixed emotions, a battle within himself. Damon aka hunnam look alike is the one twist to the story. There is a lot of characters in this book but luckily it is easy to keep track of who is who.

We follow B on her journey growing into a young adult, a brilliant guitars and finding love in the right place.
This is a sweet story and I could relate to B in more ways than one, Finding your own way and your own voice. This book keeps you on your toes, always wanting to know what will happen next.
"I want to run my hands through you hair, tell you how beautiful you are, kiss you like no one has kissed you before. I want to be that guy that will catch you whenever you fall, the guy you can lean on when you have a bad day, that sort of thing."
When I came at the end of the book I screamed nooooo.... you cruel woman. I checked double checked the book just end wap bam on a
"Everything went black"
I defiantly cant wait till book 2 to see what happens. I think it will be even more suspense.
This is a great book and would recommend it to anyone

A promising story that fell short due to inconsistencies and underdeveloped characters and relationships. I wanted to love it like the seemingly numerous other readers have but this one just didn't work for me.

It was good. But it ended with a cliffhanger. >_<
It's not what I expected but it was a nice read. Though the smut is toned down a notch. I was like if you can say 'd*ck', 'shaft', and all that why not go all the way to descriptions? Lol.
Oh well, the plot is just okay with me.
