this man is literally everything I could ever want in a man and he is so PERFECT for theodora. don't even get me started on how much I loved reading about this couple. the only thing I would've changed is to make the romance more into a slow burn, but the fact that I still loved it regardless speaks a lot about how good this book was.

"i love you with every atom of my being, and i love every atom of yours. i love you desperately, like a starving man. i love you to distraction."

sometimes i'm like "omg four stars" other times i hate this shit. why am i constantly reminded they're so young.. im talking they're 15 under talking about they’re horny... i draw the line at 17 and under please. theyre in their 20s in my head. note: guys towards the end they were like 18-20 and most of the quotes were said when they were 16-17 maybe not sure but just pretend they’re 20 cus the quotes are worth it

Academic Rivals to Lovers?? The guy falls first? And he is obsessed with her? Their conversations are intellectual debates and their love confessions are poetic???

SIGN ME UP!!!!

I fell in love with this book in chapter 5, when the female lead was hurt by the world around her and decided to twist John Keat's Endymion to match the hurtful words of society. And I kept falling in love because of the true passion this book showed for academia, philosophy, literature, and especially, poetry.

I wish there was more focus on academic rivals to lovers, but the ship is really sweet.

One of the best romances I've read. This deserves so much more attention.
