This story was tense! I kept checking to see how many pages were left, and hoping nothing bad happened to the characters. The way it ends makes me glad the next book is already available. Great characters, great story, great read.

It was ok. I saw all the plot twists coming from miles away which is strange because I almost never predict anything correctly. I also saw the ending coming from nearly the beginning. The romance was lackluster, the relationships/characters were flat and very one dimensional. The plot had a LOT of potential but didn't really deliver. There were a couple of grammatical errors (poor editing, not spelling errors).

But it was good enough to be forgettable. Not bad enough to be at the bottom rung.

Meh. I really just think Adrienne Young isn't for me. I couldn't tell you a single thing that happened in this book because I was so bored with it. I do remember putting the audiobook on a higher speed just to finish it.

I really enjoyed this book. At the beginning I was getting confused because I felt as if the author wasn’t explaining things properly but after that it was great. I could vividly see what was happening. Great adventure story and quite an easy read. However I did find the West thing at the end kind of random.

I really enjoy books set around ships so this was fun.
The story is just enough of everything; tension, motivation, magic, love. A little predictable but in a comfortable, blanket-read kind of way. It's not terribly deep, just an easy and enjoyable read. I was disappointed not to have book #2 already when I finished.
