It's a cute book, encouraging children to look closer. The writing is very adult (in a cute way but not in a way that necessarily really meshes with real children) but there are different bits of writing you can use depending on the group of children you are reading it with. I love how many of just the sort of mini-beasts children find fascinating are all portrayed and named in the meticulous drawings.
