This is beyond slow burn…there is zero action till after 80% completion and even that is a freaking peck! Their is one scene with any smut and it’s after 92%. The main character isn’t even engaging. She’s is repetitive and lacks any substance other than she has a past. Horrible, I kept reading hoping something would happen. Now I wish I would have DNF.

I really wanted her to stick up for herself.
Also I don’t understand why her sisters want a relationship with the father that didn’t give a shit about them and tormented their sister (who took care of them and busted her ass off to give them the opportunities that she never had)
Also the love interest was an absolute asshole and then you find out that he was related to her boss/ father figure the whole time and nobody told her (and she really hates lies) like I wanted her to get PISSED, but she was just like yeah it’s fine like I wanted her to be like you know my entire background and have thrown my kindness back in my face but I can’t ask you questions about your background mmmkay.
The only characters I liked were lily, Lenny, lennys family and Lunas coworkers except Jason.

Another slow burn

Pleasant book with a slow burn romance. Loved Rip and Luna, author did a great job pulling these two together!

Luna and the Lie has all the quirks, sense of humor, and slow burn that Mariana Zapata has had in all of her previous books.
