I loved Eclipse, it’s honestly such a good book and no one can change my mind. I do think it’s well-written, I love the characters (apart from Jacob in this book, he made me go nuts haha) and it had a lot of plot twists. Watching the movie right after finishing the book, is honestly the best thing in the world and the casting is sooo good please. Also, still don’t understand this whole hate thing from the past against Kristen Stewart. Obviously this isn’t regular acting but she represents Bella perfectly in the way she choose to act.

Okay, so far Im gonna have to say this is my favorite of the book series so far. But oh my god, it made me hate Jacob so much. So I'm going to rant about it.

SpoilerThe fact that Jacob kissed Bella even though she was in a relationship and continued to kiss her even though she was activly trying to get him to stop disgusts me. And the fact he blamed her for her breaking her hand when she hit him. I get she should of known not to hit him but it was obvious she didn't like the kiss and I would of hit him too. Then to the fact he threatened to kill himself if she didn't kiss him made me so mad that I had to sleep on it. I never knew a fictional character could make me so mad. I get there are likely worse characters than Jacob that I've read about and they haven't pissed me off as much, but maybe it's because I have been threatened like that before so it hits a nerve for me even more than a character murdering someone or something like that. It just made me so mad, I ended up ranting to my friend and I still feel very angry even now. I'll likely be thinking about it for days. And don't get me wrong, Edward has is bad moments but I don't think he could top this for me. But I can't wait to see how much more Jacob can piss me off in this next book. I do still enjoy this book though, the emotions it gave me was nice even though it was quite a bit of anger and not as much of anything else. It just made me surprised that I could feel so angry towards a character but it was a overall enjoyable book. Definitely my favorite book in the series so far but I'll have to see where the last one goes.

Even when I was reading these books obsessively when I was younger, I disliked Edward’s controlling nature. Now that I’m older, I’m very concerned that this book in particular helped reinforce the normalcy of that manipulative and borderline abusive behavior. Although Jacob isn’t let off the hook either. The treatment of his assault of Bella (and the implication that she secretly wanted it) was handled incredibly poorly.

This is my favorite of the Twilight saga books. It's the most plot-driven book in the entire series. Because of the events of the first book, Bella is in danger again from Victoria while a murderous rampage is happening just a few cities away in Seattle. The deaths of all these innocents has put the Cullens--and the pack--on edge.

Eventually, the werewolves and Cullen Coven are able to form a shaky alliance to bring down their common enemy. Vampires.

Spoiler Of course, Victoria is playing with Edward and Alice's abilities and is able to remain undetected while she creates a newborn army to kill Bella. Edward eventually kills her in the end and Bella realizes she loves Jacob Black and Edward at the same time. Of course, she is never going to act on her desires for Jacob....except for this one time to save his life. It doesn't work out for the two of them.

I love this book. There's so much going on and so many connecting plot elements. This was originally meant to be the end of the saga, but Stephenie pushed for her original ending. Eclipse ties up all the loose ends, is plot heavy, and manages to get lots of romance in there.
