This would be a great example of prepositions and prepositional phrases. This one didn't hold a lot of magic for me, personally. It's cute, it's sweet, but not extremely engaging for myself personally.

Cute read!

We really enjoyed this book! We enjoyed hearing about Duck and Hippo sharing the umbrella. My 4 year old was amused by them going down the river riding in the umbrella. My 5 month old enjoyed the pictures and my reading the sound effects. This is a great choice for all ages!

This is a nice children’s book about Duck and Hippo, two best friends who go on an adventure in the rain.

This sweet story is from the author of the beloved Froggy stories, a mainstay through my son's early reader years. Duck comes to visit her friend Hippo and they are off on walk in a rainstorm sharing, or at least trying to share, Duck's umbrella. Their friendship survives the adventures in wind and rain and with a second book is due out this summer, their friendship is sure to be keeper. The story is fun and kids will enjoy it, but the true gem of this story is the artwork that hearkens back to retro first grade primers. This is a book both children and their parents are sure to enjoy.

Fantastic! This story had a classic vibe with modern font play. I enjoyed it immensely. I can see why my daughter said it was a favorite of her. The illustrations were charming with animated faces and simple, inviting colors. Also, the pacing was longer than a typical PB, which allowed for a more in-depth story. I definitely want to add this one to my library.

I won this e-book on a giveaway, and my 5 yo daughter was SO excited. We read every night, and it was her first experience reading on a kindle. She's had me read it a couple of times to her, and she really enjoys it. It's a good story about friendship, with two likable characters.

Although, now my daughter asks me every night if we can read books on my kindle.. (Even though she has a huge bookshelf overflowing with books)
