The reader was very, very good.

There were a couple of times in the book when I thought that there was no way that the character would make [that choice] and believe that it would have any kind of positive outcome. The people do that in real life and confound me, too.

I really loved the relationships in this book, and how each character was so distinctly different.

What I learned from People Person was not to skim through a book. Lesson: “Just DNF it properly. Stop immediately and leave it unread. Do not skip ahead to see if it will get better or to satisfy your curiosity. Your good faith is misplaced.” It only got worse.
