I fluctuated between love and dislike for the characters while I was reading this book. By the end I strongly liked it with the exception of the twist ending. I think it could have been better without it.

Need to add a shelf for a sort of... puzzle mystery or literary mystery.
I also am not sure if I finished this - I cannot remember ANYTHING about it. ??

Love this book. Covers some of the same ground as Foucault's Pendulum, but came first. As mystical stories go, this might hang together the best.

The fictionalization of the death of Marat, which I was expecting to find in Tale of Two Cities, was here instead. Which was especially interesting, because a plot twist from ToTC was duplicated in The Eight.

Anyway - strongly recommend.

Me re gustó por entretenido. El estilo de escritura. Los personajes. La comedia. Los cameos históricos. Los viajes. Las curiosidades culturales históricas. El romance spicy. Las declaraciones de los enamorados!!
Si tengo que poner pegas…
La historia aventurera no aburre nada, solo por momentos se hacen algunos relatos pesados pero en general muy disfrutable.
Y
El misterio, bien aunque no espectacular. La trama… un poco rara cómo atan cabos al final pero es ficción so… Veremos que depara la parte II.
