Angelique “Angel” Lemoraux works the late shift. And that’s just her day job. Kade Kincaid has a witness that has quite the temper. The author sure knows what will grab her reader’s attention. She also knows what to create in order to get her readers to laugh. And she has a very devious mind because she’s very good at writing “sick’ – you’ll understand when you read. But just a warning that if you have a sensitive stomach you may not want to read while eating. It did make me cringe a little.

Love how the author has this story set in my neck of the woods. And Angel mentions one of my favorite shows – as if this was meant to be. The only thing I don’t understand is the series. I haven’t read the first one so that could be why. I have the audiobook for Touch Me Not in the wings so as I listen and read this book again maybe I will figure it out.

You do not have to have read the first book in order to enjoy this one. I did however look forward to the mystery man of the piece. I wanted to see what he was going to do next. He was that one character that you didn’t want to look but you just couldn’t help yourself. So this book was more about the mystery, suspense and the twists and turns than any romance. But I did like the fact that there was romance at the end – that’s what I’m all about after all. I’ll be interested to see what comes next because our author does give a hint that there’s more to come.

I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
