Middleton and Shakespeare were writing two different plays and didn’t realise it until it was too late. How fun!

I didn't like this late play after Timon goes broke. From there on it is about as interesting as the Book of Job. So boring. Not recommended.

Timon likes to throw parties and spends mire miney than he has. As people start to drop in and demand he pays his debts, his flatterers turn down his requests of monetary help.
Angry at everyone he knows, Timon moves into the forest and thoroughly hates mankind, dying in a grave he made for himself.

I have to say, I enjoyed this play more than I thought I would. The insults are great and the dialog is as witty as you would expect.

This is a tortured play with little of the spark and fantastic language that characterizes Shakespeare. I understand it was written in tandem with another contemporary playwright. I had a VERY difficult time engaging the story or characters, and it took me over two months in my bard-a-thon to pluck up enough interest to finally finish the play. Unless I'm amazed by a future reading or performance, this will remain near the bottom of my Shakespeare experiences.
