oh my
I loved me some Sgt. Wright! Very cute story. I loved the banter between Reese and Jason. It’s very interesting how their parents connected as well. I especially loved how their characters were both intelligent and in college pursuing their goals. I mean Jason had me floored because of his mannerisms and knowledge. He was a man man , but super focused on making the grades. The facts that they both were in college and how they met added more to the story line to me. They’re firecrackers personalities definitely lit up the whole book. Highly recommend!

Very cute and sexy story. Reese was annoying at times…especially with her cringe response to Jason when they first hooked up. It was so weird. Who says that when they see something like that. (trying not to give it away) I think it was supposed to be clever but it was stupid. She’s was also an asshole after the hookup and it comes off ass immature and annoying….But other than that, I enjoyed it. Jason’s sexy af. and an interesting character.
The parents of Jason and Reese are funny but their age is confusing. I think it was mentioned her mom was almost 50 but the way they’re written, they sounds so much older. Jason’s dad especially. The dialogue is a bit extra sometimes. When Reese is talking to her mom she says “mama” way too much. We already know who she’s talking to so she doesn’t have to say it all the time.
Side note: Only a non-cooking pasta novice would break pasta noodles so they can fit in the pot. That is not how you prepare pasta. Fight me. It’s so disrespectful.

❤️FMC working in academia
❤️Disability representation
❤️Fun banter
❤️Quick read
❤️Dislike to lovers
❤️Grief representation
❤️Opposites attract
Firstly, I LOVED the narrators for this audiobook, they were fantastic.I will absolutely eat up any book that Adenrele Ojo narrates. This was sweet and quick and was the perfect palate cleanser between two quite intense books that I have been reading. I thought their relationship was sweet, their family relationships were moving and special and I won’t lie, I loved all the drama.
I do think this could have been slightly longer because it moved very fast and Reese and Jason gave me whiplash with their banter and romance at some points. I think if it had been a little longer and they had let the tension build a little more then I would have rated it higher.
I would recommend it if you love a strong, slightly prickly FMC, a little bit of academia and genuine, sweet family connections.
Amount of spice:🔥🔥3-4 scenes
Explicitness: 🌶️🌶️🌶️Open door and explicit

Loved this !! I really like that the FMC fell in love with the MMC’s writing before she even knew who he was.

This book was so cute, and their witty banter was funny. I liked that it they were older students in a university setting as the characters felt more mature to me. I really like that Jason encouraged communication and honesty from Reese, and he was honest in kind. I think sometimes in books, in the back of my mind, I expect characters to just know how to communicate effectively, but the reality is that not everyone does. It's something that has to be worked at, and I like that he gives her room to do that.
I really love CCJ's writing. So far, I haven't read a book I didn't like, so I'm going to continue working through her backlog

Cute, very nostalgic quick, short read. This book reminded me of reading Wattpad books.
