I really like the first one from Brynne's point of view but this one just didn't do it for me. I don't know if it is because it was from Mr. Blackstone's point of view or what I don't know.

Like many of the other reviews - I felt like this book was just filler until the 3rd book. Not much happened or was revealed. At times I was a little bored even.

Ethan was still hot as hell & SEXY. And the sex was definitely steamy.

Will still read the 3rd book of course!

A perfect sequel to Naked. Ethan and Brynne are a perfect couple each with their share of baggage, a common trope in modern romances, but Raine Miller pulls it off cleverly because of her engaging writing style and characters that leap of the page

3 stars. This series is not that well written and the characters are weird and robotic but damn are these books addicting. It's like a train wreck and I just wanna keep reading to see where it goes next. This book is in Ethan's point of view and it was so bizarre. His inner dialogue is the equivalence of a child being possessive over a toy but way more childish. He's a weird guy and I just don't get his character at all. Brynne is honestly no better but she was a little bit more tolerable here than she was in the first book. I'm here for the ridiculous drama and the cringy writing, not so much the romance because that's honestly not doing anything for me.

I loved this story.
The story starts exactly where book 1 ended.
The couple are not apart very long.
No intimate scenes with anyone other than the Hero and heroine.
Small ex drama.
HFN.
The couple are established but the next book seems as though it will deal with the on going threat.

Was kinda sad we never found out what happened to Ethan & why he has a dark side.. I mean I kinda got a jist, but he never told Brynne.. And to end it and not tell us why she is sick.. Only leads me to think..

There better be another book!!

Alright. This one was way less creepy as it was less stalkerish. Here it was more believable that 1) it is in reality his job to protect her as she's under real threat and his job is security and 2) he happened to fall in love with the woman it was his job to protect. I think it helped that this was written in his first person view so you could see he was actually in love, not just in lust or possessive stalker. He is very childish in his jealousy. It was like he was 15, not 32, so that was annoying. I also want to be annoyed with how dominating he is in the relationship, but I think that was just Fifty Shades forever turning me off of that relationship type. She seems to enjoy being dominated in the bedroom and that is realistic to how some couples are. This isn't written with a BDSM standpoint, so that helps. Mind, you I don't object the BDSM erotic fiction, but there is a right and a wrong way to write it. These novels just enjoy domination and submission as far as simple requests being more like demands and it turning them equally on. She gives him shit for doing it out of the bedroom when he is in the wrong. And he generally isn't childish enough to try and control her life anyway. The times he has to brings the reader back to the fact her life is in danger and he's in charge of protecting her. He doesn't control her life choices, only the choices that put her safety in jeopardy. So this gets a pass. If only he wasn't so obviously jealous. But, he does put him in his place, so that is well enough written.

Bonus points for the subtle making fun of Fifty Shades when the girls start gushing over reading it.

Anyway, I would have given it a 2.5 instead of a 3, but as that wasn't an option and counting in the bonus points, it can have the 3.

Great book. When this installment came out I read it in a day and could not put it down. I really enjoy the way that this author writes.
