After reading the first book, I think this one was done much better than the first. I think that the plot was much more thought out than the first although it does seem like there were still some loose ends at the end of the book. I liked seeing the perspective/insights of Hades and *I have not read Persephone's side* and from reading the other reviews, this book answers a lot of what was Hades doing in the Hades x Persephone series. The smut and spiciness was still there just not as much as the first book.  The book does touch on some heavy topics so please be aware before reading.

TLDR: This book was better than the first book in the series and answers what was Hades doing in the Hades x Persephone series. Spiciness was still there 4/5 🌶️. There are heavier topics in this book so please be aware and read the content warnings before you read this book.
