Meh

Felt very rushed. Unpolished. Juvenile. Seems like the first book was great, but with each successive book the writing deteriorated.

This series just blew me away. I loved everything about it. I have to be honest, when I first read the description of these books, I wasn't sure they were for me, but my book bestie stayed on me and made me read them and I am so glad she did, because I have definitely found a new one-click author and I will be going back and reading more from them.

This was a beautiful novella that just made me so happy. I loved how everything ended and I loved feeling the emotion that you don't always get from shorter stories. Cane has definitely made his way on to my favorite characters list and I can't wait to read more from this author.

It's probably been a year since I read the last book in this series, so I honestly kept waiting for the other shoe to drop for these two, but nothing was ever too bad, which made me feel oddly satisfied with the ending of the Cane family story. Kandy still annoyed the hell out of me like any 20-year-old woman probably would haha so I still appreciated how authentically annoying Shanora Williams made this young woman.

⭐️ 5 "I Do" Stars ⭐️
After all the adversity Kandy and Cane faced during the first three novels of the Canes Series, Being Mrs. Cane is finally their time to get their happily ever after. What started as an intense attraction blossomed into so much more through the span of this brilliant series. Shanora Williams depicts in this last installment a couple destined to be together as they prepare for matrimony.

“Show her how unbreakable we really are.”

This novella doesn’t have the suspense the previous books had, but it doesn’t mean that everything is all perfect in their life. As any couple, they live certain difficulties but they support each other. It’s so beautiful to see the kind of understanding, devotion and trust they finally reached. They definitely learned from their mistakes and now they embrace their feelings entirely, opening up to each other about their problems. While they’re sweet and tender, the passion is still omnipresent between these two!

I really enjoyed this story, where every little complication from the past is resolved! All loose ends are tied. Once again, the supporting characters bring an evident depth to the story. Kandy’s mom is the constant supportive model and her dad is slowly accepting the feelings she shares with Cane are genuine and profound! I adored Lora and her wild personality so much and I hope she gets her own story. Frankie’s scandalous affair with Clay is also something I’d like to read! *fingers crossed*

“My heart will beat only for you, because my heart belongs to you.”

Being Mrs. Cane is truly the best gift Shanora Williams could give her readers. The beautiful love story of Kandy and Cane was so exquisite to witness and they deserved their little happily ever after!!!

4 stars on this one! Dark taboo romance that has all the tropes that I love: Forbidden romance (Dad’s best friend), age gap (17 year difference), lots of dirty talk, hero’s dark past including mafia/cartel drama, and psycho ex-girlfriends. Trigger warning on sensitive matters such as unplanned pregnancy and miscarriage so please be aware of that going in.

This entire series is so full of emotions and drama that packed everything you could want in a HEA.

After all the pain that this relationship brought and Cane and Kandy had to endure, I was so glad to read Being Mrs. Cane. This series was a thrill ride from start to finish. I absolutely loved it.

This ending was okay, it could have been in book 3 for sure. I am glad with everything Cane and Kandy went thru that they got their HEA. I would have liked to know who the dude was that Lora ran from. Great series and I look forward to reading more from this author!

The conclusion to this forbidden series is 5 star gold! Williams tied up all loose ends and wrapped it up with a pretty little bow. I don't think it could have been any better! So many beautiful moments that stole my breath away. Kandy and Cane's story is one of many trials and heartaches. To see both of these characters finally experience happiness bought me so much joy. I feel this author has written an epic, forbidden love story that spans decades. Readers will love these characters and will also crave stories from supporting characters from this series. I think Williams has set the stage for just that and can't wait to see who's live we get to dive in next!

This was so good! I literally almost cried when she had her baby omg. Just in my head it was so beautiful with both Kandy and Cane together and eventually just everything coming full circle though I wish I had more!
