Honestly, anything by this author deserves five stars. Every one of her books, it's like an up-all-night-page-turner. I couldn't put the book down!

this was v fun! i love these witches <3
this is the prequel to these witches don’t burn so we obvs already know what happened in that book so it was slightly repetitive but did full in the gaps about what happened before the first book

This was a cute little prequel to explain the events that caused these witches don’t burn to turn out the way they did. Explained a lot of what lead up to V and Hannah to break up also (which in my opinion was super justified). Tied some pieces together still excited for the next book in the series

This Spell Can't Last is the prequel novella to These Witches Don't Burn and This Coven Won't Break. Although this story happened before both books, it plays a role in the background of both stories, and I really enjoyed getting to see what actually happened leading up to the two novels.

This book made me so relieved that Hannah got out of the toxic relationship with Veronica. Veronica sucks more in this book than the other two books.

I've had fun reading this series, and if more books ever come out in this universe, I'll definitely check them out.

This was a wonderful insight to the background behind some of the events in the main duology! And after reading this, I cannot fault Hannah for breaking up with Veronica.

The prequel I didn’t think I needed

After I read the two main novels, I was stuck. I didn’t want the series to be over, I’m hoping for a third novel, and I just couldn’t let this realm of witches go. I turned to the novella that I didn’t want to read. Because who cares about what happened in New York when there are more pressing concerns, right? I’m so glad that I read it though because it really does help to understand what actually happened and who Tori was.
