"When you think of people, it is in the image you have made of them for yourself."

I always love a Miss Marple, but this one stuck out for me as being really genuinely entertaining. I was worried going in that I might not enjoy the Caribbean setting (only because it's hard to imagine a Marple story not set in an unhinged English village!), but it actually worked so, so well (and I of course loved that our girl Jane was in it from the beginning <3).

It was a brilliantly compelling read and, whilst I did manage to work out who the culprit was, it was still so intriguing seeing everything come together and there were still some great twists and turns. I absolutely adored a friendship that Miss Marple makes too. Just an all-round super enjoyable time, but with enough trademark underlying darkness!

The story itself is decent, though certainly not Christie’s best. The racism, though? Definitely not the vibe.

I guessed the murderer about 1/2 through, but Miss Marple's relationship with Mr. Rafiel kept me going. Definitely not the strongest Marple entry.

A great, fast paced and fun mystery novel. The twist was good and overall I liked the story. It's easy to read and I love Agatha Christie's ability to write books that are such a joy to read. They take me out of a reading slump every single time.
I did guess at one time that it was Tim, but I also thought that it might've been Molly so it was still surprising. Also the twist made much more sense than the last book that I read from her.
It was enjoyable but I might take a break from her works since I've  been reading so much of her lately and they don't hit as hard as they did in the past.
