I have a deep love for Paige & most of the Seven Seals. I wanted to learn the world of the Syndicate in the first book so badly. I was incredibly excited for this book to understand who Paige was before & after Oxford.
I always knew Jaxon was a mf rat. When he said (I’m paraphrasing) that he knew more of Paige’s outings than she realized, I knew he was a rat. And I’m so so so sure that he was dying for money because he couldn’t sell Voyants since Paige was “home”
I loved her growth as a person, humanitarian, vigilante, savior, & dreamwalker. This book was nothing short of action packed, intriguing and difficult to put down. This is growing to be one of my favorite series, and I hope it only gets better from here.

Corruption upon corruption upon corruption.

I went into this book understanding Shannon’s writing style, so it didn’t bother me as much as it did in the first book.

Let me tell you - yall want SLOW burn? A romance than burns so slowly you want to spoon our own eyes out??? This is the series for you. It’s frustrating as hell but so satisfying.

I wasn’t sure I’d continue with the series after book one, but the politics entranced me in book two. And of course, soft-spoken Warden <3 the banter between these two is so hilarious to me. And I absolutely love his little sayings to her. Yall want yearning?? Yall want slow burn???? Shannon gives you both in this story.

I didn't really like this one as much as the other entries in the series when I first read the original text, but she really elevated her writing and pulled everything together in a much more cohesive way in this new edited version.

Really I just love this series in general - the worldbuilding is wonderful, the characters are fantastic, and this book in particular has a really twisty murder mystery that is a ton of fun to read.

My only main complaint about this book is that Paige and Arcturus are separated for a great chunk of it (my shipper heart just wants them to be together 24/7).

<Spoiler> Book #2 of The Bone Season series is an exciting adventure as you continue to follow Paige Mahoney following the famous break out of Sheol I. She and the others that escaped with her are forced to live in hiding. Paige reluctantly goes back to her Mime Lord for protection from the syndicate. Everything changes when the UnderLord and his gang is murdered. Because of this, a scrimmage is to be held between those who would like to assume the position of UnderLord/Queen. <Spoiler>

This book was AMAZING! There were so many twists and turns in this book; I couldn’t believe all the things that were happening! There are so many *gasp* moments throughout this whole book!
