really really pretty imagery! one thing that stands out is that i feel like the poems flow so beautifully.  wonderfully creative word choices, descriptions, and metaphors. personal favorites are perhaps mother, memory, pearl, and many more but i simply have to stop myself at three so i don't go overboard.

Starlight
"All night, this soft rain from the distant past.
No wonder I sometimes waken as a child"

An insightful & inspired collection of poetry, peppered with rich ruminations on life's beauty as expressed through its minutiae & spirituality

This most likely would have taken the top spot as favorite poetry collection of 2018 if I hadn't read Counting Decent earlier this year, but still stands as a close second and a truly wonderful book. Highly recommended.

One of the best books of poetry I’ve read in a while. I love how Kooser can turn something simple like a notebook or bug on a window into something meaningful.

Very pleasant poetry. My friend lent me this book, so I read it. It’s one of Dana’s favorites. I think it’s alright. It’s pleasant.
