i enjoy the cast of this book but i have all sorts of things that pile up as this arc goes on that bug me. however greatly appreciate squirrelpaw and leafpaw as always. always been my favorites
most people rank this lower due to how nothing really happens in this book and honestly? fair. i think im just less bothered by tedium lol

Okay, this one didn't quite have the magic that the first series held for me. But I still enjoyed stepping back into the world of the cat Clans just the same!

Compared to the first series, this book was rather slow. In fact, nothing really happened. There was a lot of talk about prophecy, a lot of traveling, and not much action. There were only a few scenes where the cats were in any danger. I think the bar was set too high by the last series, which delivered tons of action, harrowing danger, and heartbreak; this book had none of that. It felt like a very long prequel to set up the prophecy. I'm hoping the second book picks up a bit!

I'm so happy that Brambleclaw turned out okay, despite his father. It was cool to read from his point of view, even though I do miss Firestar's POV a lot. (Side note: He and Sandstorm finally had kits! Squeeee!!!) I loved meeting Firestar's daughters, and love the connection they share together. Do I sense a possible romance brewing between Brambleclaw and Squirrelpaw?!

It’s a miracle I’m moderately normal after reading so much anthropomorphic animal books as a child. It’s an entire genre. This was very nostalgic.

I really like the warrior cat books, but this one was horrible. It's a introduction book to the rest of the books, but nothing really happened. The cats were interesting and I will read further, because I love this series so much. I can't give it more than two stars, because of nothing really happened and it was boring. The journey the cat's make is uninteresting and seems useless.

Am Anfang habe ich mir noch schwer getan, die Katze zu unterscheiden und die Welt zu verstehen, aber ich muss sagen, so als Kinder- bzw. Jugendbuch ist es nicht schlecht. Ich will sogar wissen wies weitergeht.
