This book is all about vibes. There isn't much in the way of plot, but the writing is exquisite. The writing style creates a whimsical, enchanting atmosphere, and I enjoyed reading it. Though, I suppose it is, at its core, a love story, and there is much less magic wielding than you would expect. Though I do think that this book is amazing, I wouldn't reread it. Perhaps it is just my own preferences, but if you are looking for characters with complex personalities, this wouldn't be the book for you. I do see why people like it, though.

I couldn't really what the author was trying to convey through the book, though. Perhaps it is simply pure escapism, or I just can't catch the point.

This to me was a very slow paced book. And I tend to prefer faced paced books so it isn't surprising that I got bored and disinterested half way through. The end however, did pick up the pace in my opinion so I really enjoyed the end.

The book is beautifully written and you can tell so much thought has gone into it. However, it jumps time very often and I personally found this confusing. I understand why this was done has it adds to the mystery element however, I personally just got confused and as a result didn't build any connection to majority of characters and then couldn't even remember who they where adding to me being more confused. This is more of a thing to do with me and some readers will certainly love it.

Basically, I was confused and couldn't remember half the characters or keep track of the plot. Again though many readers will love and find the writing style amazing. It just didn't suit me.
