After getting past the dubious "meeting" (what girl thinks she is being abducted/raped) and then goes, "oh what the hell...". But... Fiction.

Loved the relationship against the odds. Bad boy. Good girl. Lots of rich character development. One of those books I was thinking about the next day. So much so that I bought 2-5. That was when I realised that this series is so.much.more.
A woven tapestry of lives. Little snippets of other couples weave in and out. Hot

This was quite a nice book with a fast-paced plot, but I just don't think it was for me. I'd never read an MC romance before, so I thought it would be quite similar to mafia romance, but it wasn't the same. I just don't think I was the intended audience even though I did enjoy reading this.

I didn't like the dialogue and how it was just like a couple of words each time, which I think took away from the fluidity of the writing. It's not a heavy book with a plot or anything, which I thought was nice since it was really entertaining.

I also struggled with the slang since I was unfamiliar with quite a lot of it, but that may just be because I don't read this genre.

I don't think this is a bad book, but it just wasn't for me.

Hm this wasn't awful but it had a lot of not so great things about it either. I read it the other night and can't remember every bit that bugged me BUT I do remember finding myself SUPER annoyed by the h Sophie. I liked her at times at the beginning because her reactions to the attitude and way of life in the MC as she learned how they lived cracked me up because it honestly felt like a real honest reaction from an average outsiders POV, ya know? Butttt then she went and ruined everything. Her attitude toward Zak and how she would so coldly push him away because she was scared and thinking "Oh God he's a bad boy and does bad things I can't have that in my life! I'm so normal! Wah wahh" or something of a similar nature. She was straight up mean to him a handful of times in the book and it just pissed me off because he also let her get away with it! The first time I *maybe* understood but when he came crawling back and basically chose to be sneaking around like a dirty secret "for her safety" while also allowing her to give him a real chance and decide if she could accept him into her life and if she was willing to accept everything that came with his life in the MC. I felt like that wasn't fair to him that he was allowing himself to hide and skulk around just to see if she "maybe" wanted him apart of her life? Ugh. He had some nice alpha moments but I felt like she just didn't deserve his love or loyalty. He desperately wanted her apart of his life because she was "his one" but it just didn't work for me.

Also everything happened wayyy too fast IMO too.

Some one and two star people are blowing the beginning of this book out of proportion. It's not nearly as bad as they make it sound.
