3.5 because the novella is wildly unrealistic, but captivating all the same. The short stories were excellent.

Ich habe das Buch gelesen, weil es schön kurz war und ich nach meinem langen Buch genau sowas brauchte. Und eigentlich liebe ich Jojo Moyes but this…meh. Cliché insta love trope full of stereotypes. Hab’s in einem Rutsch durchgelesen, aber gut war’s nicht. Immerhin bin ein Buch weiter in meiner Lesechallenge und jetzt wieder on Track haha.

4 stars! Got to borrow this book from my sister who loves Jojo Moyes and since I've like authors that are similar and I also like some of her previous work I thought why not.

This book contains 11 stories which I found a little much especially since I read it in a couple of hours.
So a little breakdown of all the stories!

Paris for One
Nell and her boyfriend Pete are going to Paris for a "spontaneous weekend" but it doesn't quite work out the way she planned it would. Because Pete never shows up and she gets to spend the entire trip alone. Or so she thinks.

I really liked this one, funny and loving with a lot of romantic touches. Of course it was really frustrating at times but a really loving story with a beautiful ending!

Between the Tweets
Famous person gets in the crosshairs and a firm is hired to make it go away.

Funny and ironic, short and sweet basically.

Love in the Afternoon
Her Husband treats her to a short weekend just for the two of them. Only she is not quite in the mood.
Loved how this story played out and with the most unexpected ending. I think a lot of people can relate to this story.

A bird in the Hand
She meets her former lover at a party, while both of them are married.

I really liked the main character in this story and again the ending was surprising but lovely.

Crocodile shoes
A tired mother and forgotten wife, she finds a pair of shoes and everything turns around.

Funny and a real smile story this one.

Holdups
She works at a jewellery store and it gets robbed. But one of the robbers are not like the others.

I really liked this one, really short, sweet and funny. Just loved how it ended!

Honeymoon in Paris
This is the second longer story, Liv and David are on their honeymoon in Paris. But it's only five days and David has other plans. So Liv gets to spend time alone. She goes to an art museum, meets a man and sees a painting that speaks to her. 90 years earlier Edouard and Sophie have just gotten married and are too having problems.

Totally loved this story and the fact that I got two for one haha. Loved the endings of both!

Last year's coat
Mother, Wife, Colleague and always worried about money. But every day she sees that midnight blue coat.

Did not like this story that much, found it quite boring and dull.

Thirteen days with John C.
Bored with her life and marriage, she finds a phone and starts to message John C.

Not really a big fan of this one either, it was not that long or eventful but still enjoyed reading it!

Margot
Really lovely short story! She is on her way home over the holiday, home to her perfect family to tell them that her boyfriend cheated. But then Margot comes along and liven her up a bit.

Smiled throughout this entire story, lovely to read!

The Christmas List
She is running through store after store to find the perfect items for Christmas with her Husband constantly pressuring her. A Taxi ride changes her perspective a little.

Completely loved this story, funny and sweet!

Really liked this book, funny and a real feel good which you know I love! Some stories were not that great but most of them were so short it didn't really matter. But really every one of them were good and really well written.
