the concept was interesting which is why i picked it up, but there were too many things i didn't like and the story itself wasn't as scary as I had hoped. Also did not like the way Hendrix wrote the women in this book which shouldn't have been surpsing as I've none about this authors way of writing women.

Spoileralso really hated the "work makes you free part" especially reading it in german made it particularly jarring

Tried to read outside my norms and was bored to tears.

I think the best thing about this book was the style of the literal book. Not the way it as written but the layout of the book is like an Ikea catalog, or in this case Orsk which is the store on the book and I thought that was very clever. If only the rest if the book were as clever

Listened to the free Audible version. This was my first Grady Hendrix book, and I'm sure it won't be the last. I enjoyed this story, the atmosphere and character building.
I'm sure I won't ever feel the same when I visit a well-known Swedish furniture store!
