I read this book today during my short visit to the local library... and it blew my mind.
I'd only vaguely heard of Flanimals and just picked it up as I fancied a quick read whilst I had a spare second. I knew that Gervais would give me a good giggle or two and he didn't disappoint either. This "pocket guide" is a short snappy insight into a fantasy world that offers something for a reader of any age. I'm intrigued by the world of the Flanimals and wouldn't say no to reading another of Gervais's Flanimal books if they cross my path in the future.

Very funny & imaginative. Only made funnier by the fact that it's unbelievable how Ricky Gervais can make jibes about religion, and have comical (if not a little bit odd) sexual undertones, yet, manage to win a Children's book award.
