This book was a slow starter, but keep with it - I promise you it does speed up! I loved the backstories of our characters, I feel it really helped strengthen them! And oh my, Exquil describing Formentera made me there along for the journey! This was a great book, and the cover and artwork within was A+! Over all, if you're an Urban Fantasy/Mythical appreciator, you'd love this book!
This book was sent to me as part of the @katieandbreyPA book tour, all thoughts and opinions are mine and honest.

TW: Death, Gore

Hyienna moves to Formentera for a change, a chance at a new start. He is gifted a mysterious rucksack and finds himself in the middle of his cousins love triangle.

It soon becomes clear that no matter how powerful someone is, they can't outrun their past.

This book had an unexpected ending. It's a slow burn and takes a good bit of time before things start coming together.

This is mostly from Hyienna's point of view, but around the middle we get several different point of views.

This is a debut novel and part of a series.

Thanks to moonlight book tours and S.E. Wilson for having me on the book tour and for the copy of the book.

The hardback cover for The Nephilem is absolutely gorgeous, I loved the artwork inside the book.
The Nephilem is a combination of urban fantasy, romance and mystery.
It starts off slow but a few chapters in and it picks up the pace, which in turn pulls you in.
The writing and description within this novel is lavish and vivid, it provides you with the images as if you're there. The storyline which focuses on our main character trying to leave his background in the past, a chance encounter with a woman that leads to unexpected twists and turns. I liked how each character had their own background they were trying to out run, it made the characters realistic and the dialogue between them give them a realism that brought them off the page. The ending (which I won't spoil) felt a bit rushed but final, which to me felt satisfying.
Overall I personally enjoyed this novel after the slow start at the beginning. I think for a debut, this novel is wonderfully creative, it merged the genres to an extent and created a great story.

Firstly I have to say how absolutely stunning the hardback edition of this book is, with the beautiful illustrations. They really help bring the story to life.

It’s did take me a few chapters to get into the story but once I got into it I really enjoyed it. I had to keep reading to find out what was going to happen.

I liked the characters I found them intriguing and enjoyed learning more about them.

This was a great debut. If you fancy reading something different I recommend giving this a try.

Thank you to Love Book Tours and the author for having me on the tour and for my gifted hardback copy with a personalised message.

I, firstly, want to say a huge thank you to @exquilofficial for sending me a dedicated copy of your book with a little message inside. It was very kind of you. I have received this book in exchange for an open and honest opinion.

The artwork, it was amazing, stunning and added so much to the book. I loved seeing it throughout the book and thought it to be quite unique. They say a picture speaks a thousand words and some of these pieces done that.

Now, on to the book, for a debut novel, this was quite fantastic. Not my typical read but I found it to be quite gripping and thrilling. I think the book is quite advanced (or maybe I am not used to some of the background/terminology used) but once I got more into the book, my understanding got better so it was more enjoyable.

I am slowly getting into enjoying fantasy so I am super happy I read this. I found it a beautifully told tale that was written impeccably well. I would have liked a different ending but that’s just me, the ending still worked very well.

Thank you again @exquilofficial for allowing me a copy of your debut novel. It was fantastic.
