I enjoyed the book and thought it was cute and funny but it took me forever to finish because it was a little slow at times. And that could also be due to the fact I couldn’t stop think “when are they going to kiss”. Then they kissed (like 300 pages in) and I wanted more from it. I expected more romance in the cute little fantasy mystery romcom but they really wasn’t any. I want more of The Villain and Evie’s story so I’ll definitely read the next book.

Correct me if I’m wrong but this markets itself as a fantasy romance and it’s the slowest of burns like one kiss in the entire book. It’s funny but not as funny as it thinks it is. And after flipping through the latter half of the book I’m not going to waste my time finishing it.
