Komi Can't Communicate continues to be an absolute delight. This volume finishes up the summer vacation chapters and we also get the classic sports festival. Through it all, Komi continues to be a delight, Tadano is endearing, Najimi is overzealous, and Yamai is scary. This is definitely a comfort read and one that I highly recommend if anyone is looking for something sweet and simple.

Very cute, this one has some scenes that weren't in the anime which is great! Really liked that!

Highlights
➽ Summer Vacation is over and for the first time, Komi is sad that school's starting again, as she had friends to spend the time with. She reminisces about all the things she did that summer that made her happy, which was so cute!
➽ A new character named Inaka Nokoko is introduced and I found her so funny. She's a country girl but terrified of everyone finding out and ridiculing her. Instead, she aspires to be a city girl like Komi, not knowing that Komi doesn't feel nearly as cool as Inaka imagines 😂
➽ Another highlight is the school's sports festival, as Komi's class is determined to win for her! Komi is definitely better at sports than I am though 😂 I used to hate these sports events at school!
➽ Tadano is still the person who can decipher Komi's intentions the best, so his attempt to teach Yami and Nakanaka to interpret her feelings goes horribly wrong 🙈
➽ Tadano winning a cat key chain for Komi and offering it to her - only for them to switch, as she already had one - was SO adorable, I'm rooting for these two 🥺

It’s so fun following Komi and friends as they embark on new adventures together :) I’m starting to become more attuned to Komi’s faces, like Tadano. My favorites were Communications 49: A Hot Day, 51: A Country Girl, 53: First Names, 56: Feelings, and 57: Purikura.
