I appreciate the developments we are gettinf reguarding Coco's feelings about her mother and the revelations about Qifrey but wish we had some more foreshadowing about where their arcs were leading before now. I also feel like some of the emotional scenes in this volume were a little stunted, something I hadn't noticed before. I am still feeling the jarring shift in tone between scenes, especially given the weird shift to the perspective of side characters at the end of this volume. Overall, I'm still intrigued by the story, I just think elements of the writing could be improved.
