Fast moving and entertaining. I do think that the book was a bit too long. There’s a point when the book is about 3/4 done where it would’ve made sense to in the book and leave some of the material open to interpretation. Instead, the author chooses to provide an explicit conclusion and wrap up, several storylines that were outstanding despite Jack’s redemption, I never really grew to like him, but the author made him a compelling enough character that he maintained my interest, and I wanted to see how his story concluded

This was a very clever story. Without any spoilers -  The good is how well the author wraps everything back in on itself and weaves the story together. The bad, if you read a story about a narcissist written in first person, you have to put up with a narcissistic narrator.
