I wish this story were longer. Very cool perspective.

Throughout the series, I always wanted to spend more time in Darre, so this was a perfect addition! Also Shill's voice narrating is DELIGHTFUL. A fun sweet read -- gotta love some light misandry to illustrate a point.

This is a lovely little epilogue to the trilogy. I enjoyed the narrator's voice and quirks of her speaking, and it was fun to get some insight into what has been unfolding after the events of the Kingdom of Gods. It was a nice change of pace to have something with slightly lower stakes (as low as stakes can get with gods) to cap the trilogy off with.

It's been a while since I read the trilogy, so I think I forgot some of the finer details of... stuff, but this was such a pleasure to read. I loved the narrator's voice -- it was charming and a bit silly but thoroughly delightful. Plus, there were some really cool story moments. All in all, really good stuff.

I was so excited to return to this world but found the story a bit slow and had difficulty staying interested. I’m  shocked I would ever give Queen Jemisin a 3 in anything… it’s always been 5s…. But I just didn’t really enjoy this one very much.
