A lot of facts but a little dry.

This is a well-researched book, but at times it felt like I was getting so much information piled on me that I couldn’t absorb it. Overall a bit too academic and dry for me to fully enjoy. I’m still glad I read it, however.

An excellent history of witchcraft. A bit dull, but a fantastically well-researched tome.

This book, whilst academic was very readable. And gave a balanced historiographical and global approach to the study of witches. Interestingly when reading, I found the tone of voice to be felt like it was written by a woman but in reality was a man
