I love Hale's unique story telling. This book was like nothing i'd ever read and it was truly magical. The characters have a life of their own and through every encounter they face they become more and more real. I find myself wanting more than ever to be a part of this world but i'll settle with reading about it.

It was an unexpected find but a good one none the less. I hope others will love this book as much as i have.

Very sweet! A sweet story about a boy who has no powers.

This was a great continuation of the Bayern series. While I knew how it was going to end, it was the kind of story that made me want to keep reading to get to that end. The innocent romance is sweet and fun. I enjoyed the narrator and his unique perspective from the other narrator's in the series, especially as he is constantly describing food. I was happy to see him find someone to love who loved him in return.

I'm excited to say that I enjoyed this book, and downright shocked when considering how much I detested the previous installment in this quartet.

I really enjoyed the diplomacy elements, and Razo seems real, as well as being likable. I still feel like Hale has a problem (common to YA fiction) with "pre-dating" her characters-essentially, she creates a 20-year-old character and then claims they're 16 or 17. I wasn't convinced, but I have learned to let that crap slide.

This story was much more engaging and thought-out than the other two, and I was glad that Isi wasn't in this book much-she always seems fake to me. Enna is also better as a supporting character rather than a featured character.

I have mixed feelings about the next book, featuring Razo's sister, Rin. She really hasn't even been mentioned in previous books, so this next book really doesn't seem natural. But I've made it this far, I simply must carry on!
