Amazing book!! No words, it was just that good.
I always look forward to this authors releases. The only sad thing is that I now have another year to wait for the next one.

I really enjoyed the whole story and Carrie Soto as a character. I wasn’t expecting to like the ending as much as I did. TJR has a way of writing and telling stories that I’ve grown very fond of.

Finally finished this lovely TJR quartet. As a former tennis player and lifelong tennis fan, man did I love this.

This book was so beautifully written. I view the world of sports differently now, and I have a newfound respect for it. I find myself thinking about this book often. Carrie was such a relatable character and this book portrayed life so accurately with all its ups and downs. I couldn't put the book down.

4✨ while i wasn’t in the mood for this when i was reading it, i appreciate that this is a really good book. not my favourite contemporary fiction but definitely well done and especially the audiobook.
carrie is so ruthless, i love it. i love her dedication and faith in nothing but herself. i admire her drive. but at one point i found she got a little annoying with her attitude and what a horribly sore loser she was.
i think the relationship between carrie and havier was really nice and extremely realistic. including as her coach. however, knowing it was a big aspect of the book, i feel like it wasn’t quite what i wanted and i expected a bit more from it. nevertheless, i think it was great and i like how it went.
bowe was a stunning character. the way his feelings so clearly developed and just everything between him and carrie. i loved him. i think the two of them were extremely well suited to each other, both of tennis players and people.
brandon is just as gross as he was in malibu rising.
• tennis star
• father-daughter relationship
• contemporary fiction
