Jennifer Kropf is growing in her story telling skills. I love it. I enjoyed book one for its fresh and fun vibes. The smells of Christmas oozed from the pages as the adventure began. In book two they are still there, but hide in the shadows making way for a story filled with intrigue, mystery, betrayal, and revelations.

Truth is at war with the darkness, and I shed real tears once again while reading of Helen's struggle. I love to cheer her on. She has grown along with her author. I can't wait for book two.

Book two knocked my socks off! It was so good to jump right back into Winter and follow Helen again on her journey. This book gripped me so much faster than book one because I was completely invested with Zane from book one.

The one thing that I absolutely loved about this book was how well Jennifer brings the lore and legends back to life and make it feel older and a little darker. It made me feel like I was also growing up with Helen as her journey and story progressed.

Again, I couldn't put this book down because I was desperate to get to the end and find out what would happen to all my favourite characters! Jennifer did not disappoint & I really can't wait to jump into book three!
